Thanks a lot Robert! You're spot on. Testing is very important and the concept of simulating results on past market data can probably even be its own article. It's essential to make sure things are working as intended.

As a minimum step, however, my recommendation would be to trade with tiny amounts while you're still learning and polishing the bot.
