Oh, interesting stuff! I'll be perfectly honest with you - I never checked out LUA (despite having heard the name). Will check that out as well as Crystal.
And I agree with the point that one of these will probably break through. We're moving towards languages that are "nicer to write" so it makes sense that the trend also extends to the more "closer to the metal" languages.
I mean, C++ is great, but as some folks who use it as their main language have told me, there isn't too much to be said about its syntax.
