Absolutely love this - beautifully told.

One piece of feedback is that I got lost for a second about how you'd get your money back right after the border crossing and had to go back and re-read. Took me a bit to remember that the thing was just to show you had 400$. Could be me being disperse, but might be something to do with the wording here: "everyone would have the requisite $400 to cross".
